Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect Credential
The Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Architect credential is designed for individuals who have experience in designing global sites that support multiple brands and channels using standard design patterns.
This credential is targeted toward Salesforce customers, partners, and employees who want to demonstrate their knowledge and skills to do the following:
◉ Promote core architecture concepts like modularity, reusability, and designing future-proof components during SDLC across all the layers (client, server, CDN).
◉ Advise the development team on usage of B2C Commerce best practices throughout the SDLC to implement high performing and efficiently scaling sites.
◉ Design storefront integrations that make best use of the available data and technologies.
◉ Use best practices and standards as well as technical expertise to assist project management throughout the site development lifecycle.
◉ Knowledge of the commerce ecosystem and solution architecture including primary integrations for client business needs and process flows.
◉ Apply the standard design patterns to support multiple brands, internationalization, and multiple channels (mobile, tablet, etc.)
Purpose of this Exam Guide
This exam guide is designed to help candidates evaluate their readiness to pass the Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Architect exam. Audience Description
The Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Architect is certified as a B2C Commerce Developer and generally has five or more years of eCommerce experience. The B2C Commerce Architect also has the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
◉ Technical team leadership experience
◉ Familiarity with integrating retail IT systems such as: CRM, ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS
◉ Assisted in designing the architecture for one or more full cycle Commerce Cloud implementations - with one of these being a brand new project following the Site Readiness Assessment (SRA) process (shadowing or as a co-lead)
◉ Familiarity with performance and security measures of the SFCC platform as well as compliance requirements relevant to eCommerce
◉ Familiarity with Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA)
◉ Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
◉ Knowledge of the SFCC platform and its features including System and Custom Objects, SEO, and Analytics capabilities
◉ Basic understanding of DNS related principles and terminology
◉ Architecting or designing solutions (multi-site/multi-region solutions)
◉ Designing interfaces between systems
◉ Gathering technical requirements or defining them based on business requirements
◉ Advising on data and code replication schedules
